Witnessing parents embracing their newborns after long journeys of hope and resilience is truly awe-inspiring, and it fueled my passion to help others.

Hello, I’m JoAn Richardson, the face behind Girlfriends’ Guide to Surrogacy.
My journey into surrogacy began with a flyer on Facebook, sparking a conversation with my husband about the possibility of becoming a surrogate. I don’t think he believed I was serious. 😊
As friends struggled with infertility, the idea of being a surrogate lingered in my mind, and I decided to explore it further. Little did I know that a casual call to an agency would lead to a life-changing experience as a surrogate, not just once, but five times!
Girlfriends’ Guide to Surrogacy was created out of the countless questions and curiosity people had about my story.
My mission is to offer you insights from a surrogate’s viewpoint, answer your questions, and provide hope and encouragement for intended parents on their path to parenthood.
